The Role:

This role will bring together teams across multiple business units and regions, driving alignment and consistency across the company. The right candidate will elevate how we operatebringing structure, accountability, and a focus on Operational Excellence that supports sustainable growth.
As VP of Operations, youll be responsible for leading internal operations across all divisions and executing on our companys operational strategy. Youll oversee business processes, ensure strong service delivery, and lead initiatives that align with our long-term vision.
Responsibilities - What you will do:
- Lead Operational Strategy & Execution:
- Oversee all internal operations and ensure alignment with the companys strategic objectives and BHAG.
- Collaborate closely with Finance to ensure we are mitigating risk, optimizing project and departmental financial results.
- Ability to be agile and make logical, sound in the moment decisions as situations arise.
- Oversee our three current locations: Lower Mainland (Langley office), Sea to Sky (Squamish office) and Okanagan (Kelowna office). Travel to all three locations on a regular basis will be required.
- Champion Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization to enhance performance and consistency across teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the organization, aligning with strategic objectives.
- Drive Technology Adoption & Innovation:
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, including AI and automation, to modernize construction and project management workflows.
- Cultivate High-Performing & Aligned Teams:
- Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and team development rooted in Horizons core values.
- Collaborate with other executives to integrate operations with overall business strategy.

Ideal Background - What you Bring to the Table:
Education
A University degree/diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
Experience
15+ years in Construction or Landscaping field, 10+ of those being in progressive leadership roles.
Experience in the landscaping and construction industry with a strong knowledge of project methodologies, financial management, as well as associated legislations.
