About the role:

We are seeking motivated and customer-focused Food Service Workersto join our team in one of our many prepared food counters. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for preparing, serving, and packaging food in accordance with health and safety standards. You will provide exceptional service to customers while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the food service area. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for food quality and safety.

What you'll do:

• Food Preparation: Prepare and serve fresh food items (such as deli meats, salads, sandwiches, and hot meals) according to customer orders and store standards.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient, and responsive service to customers, answering questions about menu items and making recommendations when appropriate.
• Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure that all food items are handled, prepared, and stored following health and safety regulations. Maintain clean and sanitized workstations, equipment, and utensils.
• Stock & Inventory: Monitor food stock levels and replenish items as needed. Assist in receiving, inspecting, and properly storing food deliveries.
• Portioning & Packaging: Properly portion, wrap, and label food products for display or customer orders.
• Compliance: Adhere to store policies, including food safety, sanitation, and occupational health and safety procedures.
• Quality Control: Check product quality, expiration dates, and presentation to ensure freshness and appeal.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure the food service area runs smoothly, and assist in other areas as needed (such as cleaning or restocking supplies).
