Job title: Janitor
Reports to: Resident Support Services Manager
As a valued team member the Janitor Position under the direction of Resident Support Services Manager, performs general cleaning duties in Chippawa Creek at Bella Care Residence.
This would include the cleaning of public area bathrooms, staff rooms, offices and other areas as assigned. Follows all relevant policies including infection prevention and control, WHMIS and quality improvement.
Hours: 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
40 hours bi weekly
Responsibilities:

1. Vacuums, dry mop and wet mops all floors assigned
2. Cleans bathroom, commodes in public areas
3. Ensure equipment is clean and reports any equipment needing repair to Supervisor
4. Identifies and reports risks to ensure the safety of residents, visitors and staff
5. Maintains a safe environment by adhering to established safety policies, standards and procedures.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned
7. Ability communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
8. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
9. Attends in service education as applicable
