Job Summary
As a Licensed Heavy-Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of large trucks and related equipment. You will ensure all vehicles are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on large trucks, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related equipment.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Maintain detailed service records and complete necessary documentation.
- Work closely with operators and supervisors to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Keep the shop and work area clean and organized.
- Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensed Heavy-Duty Mechanic (Journeyman or Red Seal preferred).
- Experience working with hydrovac trucks, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
