Senior AccountantWe're on the lookout for an experienced Senior Accountant to take a lead role in managing and overseeing all things finance. - Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Transaction Management: Oversee all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Account Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, making sure everything balances out correctly.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare budget forecasts and provide in-depth financial insights to assist in decision-making.
- Audit & Tax Support: Assist with audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Timely Publishing: Publish financial statements on time and manage any discrepancies that may arise.
- Process Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of accounting processes, and ensure all internal controls are followed.
- Reporting & Analysis: Build and maintain monthly divisional financial reports, provide recommendations to management, and investigate any discrepancies.
- Gross Profit Reporting: Prepare and distribute gross profit reports semi-monthly.
- Compliance: Prepare corporate and sales tax reports, file sales tax reports, and handle remittances (T4, T4A, WSIB, ROE, PD7A).
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with financial regulations and best practices, helping to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an Accountant, with experience in financial management, preferably in the gaming or tech industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and MS Office, especially Excel, and a strong grasp of financial software tools.
- Cross-Border Accounting: Familiarity with both Canadian and US accounting principles.
- Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks, meeting deadlines even during peak periods.
