About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented financial professional to oversee revenue analysis and compliance, ensuring financial accuracy and seamless operations. This role plays a crucial part in financial reporting, contract evaluations, and credit approvals while collaborating across departments to support the organization's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Oversight: Monitor and analyze daily income reports, providing insights to leadership.

  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to internal financial procedures and regulatory standards.

  • Contract & Credit Review: Evaluate agreements from the sales team, approve credit, and oversee aged receivables while ensuring timely payment collections.

  • Month-End Closing: Execute month-end reconciliations and reporting processes.

  • Financial Reconciliation: Maintain accuracy in balance sheet accounts and tax remittances.

  • Audit & Year-End Preparation: Lead financial data gathering for annual audits and internal reviews.

  • Team Development: Support and mentor accounting team members.

  • Interdepartmental Support: Assist other teams with financial-related inquiries and processes.

  • Budget & Reporting: Help coordinate budgeting and provide financial insights through monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.

  • Additional Duties: Undertake tasks as assigned by the financial controller.

What You Bring:
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial analysis.

  • Keen attention to detail with high accuracy in reporting.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience.

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or finance.

  • Enrollment in a recognized accounting designation program (CPA preferred).

  • Previous experience in hospitality finance is an asset.

  • Familiarity with Sage Accpac software is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $80,000 – $90,000/year

  • Benefits: Dental care, extended health care, life insurance, vision care, and a flexible schedule.

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, in-person work environment.
