We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General Labourer! This role is based out of our fabrication plant location in Edmonton, AB.

Job Summary

We are seeking an upbeat individual with a keen eye to detail and a positive demeanour! The primary focus of the role will be ensuring that the shop floor is safe, and clean, to help it runs efficiently.

SHIFT: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday and reporting to the Department Supervisor

PAY: $28.18/hr

• Using various cleaning equipment to pick up shavings and dust off the shop floor
• Cutting wood to various lengths to assemble crates for the blending area
• Conducting movement of products throughout the shop, such as operating a crawler to bring pipe in the shop
• Cleaning out and under equipment
• Participate in 5S activities and sustain 5S systems.
• Assigned duties as deemed vital by management.
• Any other duties assigned as operational needs

Requirements

• Must be always safety conscious of self and others
• Must be a self-starter and able to work under minimal supervision
• Must be able to analyze problems and make decisions within their area of responsibility
• Must be team-oriented person
• Must be able to lift / carry 50 pounds frequently.

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing plant environment requiring varying degrees of physical labour including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Working in confined spaces, such as silos
• The use of hand tools
• Considerable amount of sensory attention is required
