In 1949 they acquired the four-year-old Vancouver branch of an American-based company. From this modest beginning, the Company now has a Head Office in Burnaby, Eighteen Branches, and Four Distribution Centers spread across Western Canada. The Opportunity:
Scope of the position
This position is responsible for ensuring price updates from our suppliers are applied accurately and in a timely manner along with setting up parts in the ERP software (Epicor Prophet 21). The Pricing and Parts Administrator will apply various techniques to arrive at the correct price, resolve discrepancies, and import data into the database.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and update supplier pricing using Excel and Prophet 21 software
- Create reports on price changes, purchasing, sales and inventory
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance to resolve any pricing related discrepancies
- Setup and import new items into Prophet 21 software
- Coordinate with IT regarding updates
- Upload import files into Prophet 21 after hours (1-3 times a week)
Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with manipulating and analyzing large data sets (1000 or more records) in Excel
- Demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills
- Knowledge or experience with ERP software
- Detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent prioritization skills
- Basic knowledge of how databases function
- Excellent organizational skills
- Remain composed under deadlines
Nice-to-Have Knowledge and Skills
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Basic coding skills with Microsoft VBA
- Industry knowledge of the HVAC and refrigeration industry
- Experience with Epicor Prophet 21
What we offer
The target salary range for this position is $50,000 to 57,000 CAD. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate's relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.
