Position Summary:
Position: Firewater Foreman
Type: Full Time
Location: On Site
Schedule: 7 on/7 off Rotation (Compressed Work Schedule)
Compensation Details:
Vacation pay at 6% - paid out bi-weekly upon start date

Role Summary:
A Foreman is responsible for coaching, resolving issues. They may conduct regular inspections of the work to check for inconsistencies and deviations from company-established quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a competent individual who will be able to guide and train employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with coordination and scheduling of Firewater activities.
- Lead execution of Firewater activities.
- Maintain physical asset security and condition.
- Train and perform competency evaluations.
- Assign work to employees, based on job requirements, special job site conditions, and available equipment, material, and worker qualifications.
- Conduct and/or attend safety meetings.
- Review and approve Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and work process to ensure safe execution.
- Assist with creation and revision of Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) / Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
- Demonstrate and explain use of equipment as required.
- Conduct performance evaluations for employees.
- Develop safe work assignment plans as necessary.
- Estimate equipment, materials, and labour requirements.
- Responsible to ensure overall compliance in operations and safety.
- Maintain production and work records.
Education & Experience:
- Plumbing Journeyperson required (minimum of 5 years experience)
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Firewater specific experience preferred
- Advanced LOTO training
- Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite
- Solid understanding of safety and training legislation; competency, observation and evaluation skills
- A combination of education and experience will be considered
- Conflict and employee management
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019)
- Applicants must have the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English
