Description
One Full-Time Contract to May 2026 (with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent)
Responsible for the coordination of the Passport Program within York Region, which focuses on adults with a developmental disability seeking community participation supports and/or skills development and respite supports. Responsible for waitlist management, acting as a resource to eligible adults and their families around community options and administration of funding.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in social work or related discipline (ie Psychology etc.)
  • Minimum three years related experience
  • Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is essential
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets including data sorting and data entry is essential
  • Experience with managing budgets and financial accountability is essential
  • Language skills and an understanding of cultural diversity are considered assets
  • Familiarity with the local service system and its providers is required
  • Second Language is an asset
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards
  • A valid G drivers license, appropriate insurance coverage for business purposes and regular use of a reliable vehicle
