What would you be doing?
The Client Onboarding Specialist (SBS) is a key function in setting up new client relationships for success. Serving as the clients first interaction with the Small Business Services team, establishing our role as trusted advisor with the client and their team.
As leaders in our growing firm, you will collaborate with the Senior Vice President Small Business Services to help our clients succeed. You will be responsible to:
- Support the Senior Vice President Small Business Services with prospective client discovery process
- Understand and anticipate prospective client pain points, potential long-term reporting needs and develop appropriate data structures
- Scope client projects and develop prospective client workflows, proposals, and pricing
- Present workflows and proposals to clients, highlighting key considerations and benefits
- Scope and manage special client projects
- Liaise with SBS Managers to source and assign resources for client work
- Manage BT Advantage client onboarding, including implementation of workflows, development of processes, documentation of work instructions
- Coordinate post-onboarding hand off of recurring new client engagements to the assigned SBS technician and Manager, ensuring strong client-Firm communication throughout
- Maintain leading edge knowledge of new technology in the cloud accounting space
This position may be based out of our Courtice, Cobourg, Peterborough or Lindsay office. The role will require travel among the offices and to clients on an as needed basis, with mileage reimbursed for the interoffice and client travel.
Who is our ideal candidate?
- 7+ years in senior client accounting roles
- Bachelors degree and asset, College Diploma required
- Expert knowledge of integrated cloud accounting environments
- Proficient with Office 365, expert with Excel
- Experience with implementation of integrated cloud accounting workflows
- Resourceful with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, presentation and client relationship management skills
