POSITION: PARTS ASSOCIATE

Were fixers - weve been rebuilding heavy equipment components for over 20 years. We dismantle whole equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders and rock trucks on site, rebuild the components to their original specifications, and test them on our in-house test bench. POSITION SUMMARY
This position's primary responsibility is to ensure that all necessary parts are stocked, ordered, and delivered to rebuild technicians. Other responsibilities would include ordering new parts from catalog, determining replacement parts required, and general organization and documentation of parts. The Parts Associate will also be responsible for supporting the Inventory department with other duties as needed. This position is full-time.
Work hours are between Mon - Fri 7:00am - 3:30 pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creating work orders
Looking up parts
Creating, managing, and following up on requests for quotes
Placing and maintaining purchase orders
Providing work orders and purchase order updates
Receiving, processing, and storing parts orders
Record keeping
General support
QUALIFICATIONS:
Several years of shop experience ordering parts from vendors and keeping inventory
Familiar with automotive or machine parts
Technologically literate
Stand up forklift certification is an asset
Comfortable in a shop production/manufacturing environment
Receiving experience
Experience working in a dynamic and fast paced environment with a team
Organizational skills
Experience with ERP implementation is an asset but not mandatory
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is exposed to moderate to loud noise environments and will be required to operate various heavy equipment, such as forklifts.
