Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projects are undertaking the design, build, and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package.
As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario's economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?
- A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River).
- Stations:
- One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station.
- Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations.
- Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown).

Under the supervision of the Project Control Lead, the Project Controls Coordinator will support the implementation and monitoring of project control systems and processes to ensure the successful delivery of the Ontario Line South project. The role will require a strong focus on data management, reporting, and analytical tasks to track progress and meet key project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design and Development: Design and implement project control systems, including Earned Value Management (EVM) procedures and tools.
- Propose and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each phase of the project to track progress and performance.

- Project Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze time, efficiency, milestones, and document submittals while identifying deviations through variance analysis.
- Prepare weekly project progress status reports, monthly client reports, and presentations for the JV Board.

- Data Analysis and Visualization: Develop and manage the digitalization of project reports and KPIs using Power BI and other visualization tools to create dashboards and track progress effectively.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, engineers, and other departments to ensure timely delivery of reports and updates.
- Assist in identifying risks and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience and Skills:
- Thorough understanding of project control policies and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong orientation to delivering high-quality reports and presentations on time.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all deliverables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge and experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting are highly desirable
