Job Overview
Process all work related to the FirstOntario Credit Union's suite of credit products with a high level of efficiency to provide superior service to the retail network.

Major Activities

  1. Assist retail network in solving problems by helping with routine, credit related matters requiring a basic level of knowledge in most areas, specialized in some.
  2. Assist with identification of skill gaps in the retail network.
  3. Work with the asset team to ensure maximum efficiency in support of service delivery.
  4. Process credit related work with accuracy and efficiency.
  5. Conduct file audits to ensure documentation is complete and correct.
  6. Adhere to audit and control policies and procedures.
  7. Correspond in a professional manner.
  8. Ensure FirstOntario Credit Union policies are adhered to.
  9. Perform all other work related duties, as assigned.

Operations

Primary Task Group: Dealer Finance Centre

Basic Tasks Include:

  • Support to dealers by handling all incoming calls
  • Receive and process all applications from the dealers thru the loan system, referring any loans not approved by the system to Manager CCA and Retail Credit for their review/approval
  • Perfect security for all deals to be advanced
  • Key all loans to be advanced into the banking system, incl. programming the account
  • Complete & dispatch all correspondence & documents to branches and members
  • Complete all DFC related reports, entries; follow up on pending deals, etc.
  • Provide support to other areas within asset management team as required.
  • Misc. sundry duties

Job Requirements

  • Must have above average communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work well with minimum supervision.
  • Must be capable of working as a team player, willing to assist other staff as required.
  • Must be flexible and prepared to work hours established to meet member service demands.
  • Must be willing to learn and apply coaching.

Job Specifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Typing 30wpm
  • On-line exposure.

  • Peers, other team members and the Manager, Central Credit Adjudication and Retail Credit.
  • Retail network team members.
  • External suppliers including Dealertrack
