As a Payroll and Finance Administrator, youll be responsible for administering payroll functions for ProSlides global employees, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, and maintaining accurate records. Youll play a crucial role in supporting our teams well-being, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all.

Additional to payroll, the role will have some monthly finance reconciliations and analysis responsibilities. This is an opportunity for you to take on challenging tasks and learn through a wide breadth of responsibilities, all while working in an environment that is fast-paced, dynamic and fun.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Process various payrolls (weekly, bi-weekly and monthly) for Canadian and internationally based employees
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and status changes.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure employee data is up-to-date and accurate for payroll processing.
  • Complete month end tasks of the General Ledger for Global payroll records i.e. journals, reconciliations, accruals
  • Prepare year-end reconciliations and reporting requirements i.e. T4s/T4As, W2s
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage employee benefits deductions, ensuring accurate calculations and adjustments
  • Assist with audit preparations and internal payroll reviews
  • Process and reconcile the company pension & wellness programs including monthly reporting, new enrollments, terminations, changes
  • Process and reconcile expense reports through online software
  • Process and reconcile the corporate credit card program
  • Assist the Finance and Accounting team with various accounting tasks
  • Other tasks as required

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

Education

  • College diploma in accounting or related field.
  • PCP Certification is an asset

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing & accounting experience
  • Understanding of payroll legislation and processes
  • Experience with payroll software, preferably Ceridian Dayforce
  • Strong analytical and MS Excel skills (essential)
  • Experience with ERP systems is an asset!
