The HR Coordinator is integral to creating a positive and empowering organizational culture. By supporting the HR Manager and Senior Administrative Team, this role helps ensure employees feel valued, supported, and equipped to thrive. Through effective HR practices, prioritization of well-being, and a focus on personal and professional growth, the HR Coordinator upholds the Missions values, fostering trust and partnerships across the organization.
In this role, you will oversee daily HR functions, coordinate Health & Safety Committees, and assist in driving key organizational initiatives. We are seeking a proactive, organized, and innovative individual who shares our commitment to advancing the Missions vision and goals while supporting the team that makes our work possible.
Responsibilities
Human Resources Support:
- Assist the HR Manager in developing and executing strategies that enhance organizational culture and employee engagement.
- Support day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes, providing an excellent candidate experience.
- Maintain and improve HR forms, templates, and employee information systems.
- Support the HR Manager in organizing staff events and team-building initiatives.
- Ensure smooth communication and data sharing between Finance and HR departments.
- Building and maintaining relationships with all employees.
- Supporting employee inquiries and needs by promptly addressing issues and concerns.
Administrative and Operational Support:
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Administrative Team.
- Assist with automating forms, converting paper templates to digital formats such as e-signature or Microsoft Forms.
- Take minutes and notes for meetings as required.
- Provide data entry and other support to the Finance department as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Administration.
Health & Safety Coordination:
- Conduct Health & Safety reviews and audits.
- Participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings.
- Develop and maintain Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Staff Training Coordination:
- Schedule and track certifications, ensuring all staff meet training requirements.
- Arrange facilitators and logistics for in-house training sessions.
Policy and Process Development:
- Administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations with the guidance of your team.
- Conduct research and contribute to policy and process improvement initiatives.
- Review and update existing procedures to align with organizational needs.
Assets & Experience
Education:
- Formal education in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Equivalent experience in a similar role (2-3 years in an administrative or human resources role) will also be considered.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in policy development is an asset.
- Strong proficiency with technology and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative and innovative problem-solving abilities.

- Starting base wage between $24-$26/hr based on previous experience.
