Position Overview
As the Video & Social Media Administrator, you will be responsible for capturing, editing, and creating engaging video content, managing day-to-day social media operations to grow the companys online presence across multiple platforms, and analyzing performance metrics to drive engagement and brand visibility.
Your primary objective will be to increase awareness of our mission and impact by sharing stories from our playgrounds, workshops, educational sessions, and community events.
You are creative, organized, and have a passion for crafting engaging and impactful stories with a background in video capture and editing, content creation, and social media management. You also possess a deep understanding of social platforms and trends and can transform a companys vision into compelling visual and written content.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
- Conduct interviews with subject-matter experts to generate ideas and create compelling video content.
- Travel to job sites to capture photos, video footage, and drone footage of our current projects, project openings, production processes, and workshops and community engagement sessions.
- Create, curate, and post engaging content across various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, etc.), ensuring alignment with brand messaging to drive reach and engagement.
- Use advanced tools such as Adobe AI video editing integrations and other AI-powered video/photo editing software to create polished, professional content.
- Monitor social media trends, audience behavior, and emerging technologies to optimize content creation and engagement.
- Write captivating copy for social media posts that resonate with our target audience.
- Maintain a consistent visual and narrative tone across all platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Community Engagement
- Monitor and engage with followers across all platforms, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster community interaction by organizing social media campaigns and interactive posts.
- Work with the marketing team to amplify client testimonials and project success stories to strengthen the community's connection with our mission.
Strategy & Growth
- Develop and implement strategies to increase followers, engagement, and brand awareness on social media
- Research current trends, hashtags, and industry conversations to keep Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds relevant and involved in key discussions.
- Stay on top of new and emerging trends in digital marketing, video, and social media to drive awareness and reach.
- Experiment with new formats, tools, and social platforms to optimize reach and impact.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of social media campaigns, providing insights into engagement rates, follower growth, and content performance.
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or other social media management platforms to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance updates to the Marketing Director.
- Make data-driven recommendations to refine content strategies and enhance audience engagement.
Collaboration & Cross-Department Support
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop a content strategy that promotes the companys vision and goals.
- Work closely with the internal marketing, design, and sales teams to ensure social media content aligns with broader marketing initiatives.
- Support digital advertising efforts by providing creative assets and copywriting for paid social campaigns.
- Collaborate on cross-platform campaigns, events, and brand partnerships to expand Bienenstocks reach.
Brand Advocacy & Storytelling
- Act as a brand advocate, ensuring that Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds core values and mission are represented authentically across all platforms.
- Share stories from playground installations, community engagement events, workshops, and educational initiatives to highlight our work and its impact on children and nature.
Other Duties
- Assist with social media coverage of events, such as project launches, workshops, and trade shows.
- Stay updated on social media platform changes, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure strategies remain effective.
Qualifications
- Strong photography and videography skills. Drone work experience is considered an asset.
- 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts, content creation, and digital marketing.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative and engaging content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to craft engaging social media copy.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, iMovie).
- Strong understanding of social media management platforms like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) and the ability to interpret performance data.
- Ability to balance creative storytelling with data-driven decision-making to refine strategies based on performance metrics.
- Highly organized, with the ability to plan and schedule social media content in advance, managing multiple deadlines and platforms simultaneously.
- A deep appreciation for the outdoors, nature-based education, and sustainability is a plus.
