ROLE SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing technology-related projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for project tracking for assigned modules and systems, serving as a liaison between functional and technical resources to manage the development of new system functionality, upgrades, system modifications, and day-to-day problem analysis, issue tracking, and resolution. The IT Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

PROJECT PLANNING

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

PROJECT EXECUTION AND MANAGEMENT

  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

BUDGET AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Track project costs and manage the project budget effectively.

RISK AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT

  • Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation plans and strategies.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

COMMUNICATION

  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure they are productive and focused. • Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and issues.
  • Manage Senior management expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.

TEAM LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION

  • Lead, coach, and motivate project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is must.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, ERP process mapping and agile methodologies.
  • Other relevant certifications such as Agile, Scrum Master, or ITIL are advantageous. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management or a similar role. • Proven experience in managing IT projects from initiation to completion.
  • Proficiency with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
