The Bilingual Account Manager (Montreal) reports to the Director of Sales T&M and will support the Test & Measurement Group. You will be a primary driver of new business in our served markets, OEM, Government and educational as well as developing general purpose accounts. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with knowledge of sales and customer service best practices. He/she is responsible for sales and account management activities.


Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed established monthly quarterly and yearly sales quotas
  • Promoting our partner product (Keysight Technologies, Bird, Astronics, Fluke Neworks NetAlly etc.)
  • Develop sources of sales leads and actively prospect for new sales opportunities
  • Conduct various prospecting activities, including telemarketing, cold calling, lead referrals, etc. in sufficient volume to ensure that sales targets are met
  • Update and maintain accurate records in company CRM, providing forecasts and activity reports as required
  • Attend regular sales meetings, training and performance review sessions
  • Establish effective business relationships with key decision makers
  • Develop an understanding of the customer's business needs and future requirements
  • Work with Engineering department to prepare professional written and/or verbal proposals targeted to the Key Decision-Makers in the customer's terminology, which clearly communicates the company solution and the Value Proposition to the customers' business problem
  • Negotiating contracts, initiating orders and pursuing everything with energy, drive and a need to finish
  • Initiating post sales activities, to ensure services sold are meeting ongoing customer needs; providing additional training to new customers as required
  • Complete the necessary documents for the efficient processing of customer orders
  • Provide feedback on marketing materials and products / services
  • Developing and maintaining excellent knowledge and understanding of our business, offerings, competitors, and industry.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by the leadership

Education and Expertise

  • Successful experience in a sales role within Test & Measurement sector preferably servicing Government, educational and OEM's market.
  • The Candidate must be bilingual: French & English (Oral and writing)
  • Successful experience in a sales role within Test & Measurement sector preferably servicing Government, educational and OEM's.
  • Familiar with selling products or services with a sales cycle of 3 to 6 months
  • Specific experience in building a strong client network in their territory
  • University or College degree / diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Data Networking, or related is desired
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Energetic and self-motivated "hunter" with a passion for new business sales
  • Strong knowledge of RF, Fiber and DC
  • Experience selling T&M products will be an asset i.e Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, DMM, Power supply etc
  • Strong knowledge for testing methods of analog and digital signal processing
  • A strong sense of urgency and a burning desire to be the best
  • A closer with a proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding quota consistently
  • Effective phone interaction and cold-calling skills
  • Understands solution selling and creating value for business customers
  • Solid sales skills and understanding of how to manage a sales funnel
  • Proven ability to prospect and cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers
  • Ability to communicate and present confidently to any level of an organization
  • Ability to travel, when required
