Were seeking a Service Manager to lead and grow our Service Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering top-notch client satisfaction, streamlining processes, and driving results. Youll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every project is completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
What Youll Do:
- Lead and manage the service team, including setting goals, providing guidance, training and evaluating performance
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting collaboration and recognizing achievements
- Addressing issues as they arise; provide solutions when needed
- Maintain and enhance relationships with key clients to ensure repeat business and referrals
- Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project estimates, contracts and other related documents
- Support service superintendent with allocating resources (manpower, equipment)
- Collaborate with the service superintendent to identify schedule gaps and adjust estimates accordingly
- Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and actual costs
- Review completed estimates and quotations to provide error checking and final decision on tender submission
- Conduct detailed reviews and provide revisions of construction contracts
- Determine pricing opportunities that align with company growth goals
- Develop and implement programs to improve the overall process within the service department
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the service team
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a supervisory/management role within a construction-related environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction with a focus on commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and industry standards
- Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills
- Strong communication, organization, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in estimating software and other relevant technologies
- Excellent negotiation skills
