Evisceration Line Worker (Class 1 Driver)

Job purpose

The Evisceration Line and Transfer of Care Worker is responsible for identifying quality and pathological defects and for trimming parts, handling viscera, moving birds, and trussing. Position works in an assembly line-style processing environment doing repetitive work.

Duties and responsibilities

• Accountable to accurately and efficiently perform duties to process quality poultry products for our customers.
• Accountable to ensure a safe working environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors.
• Responsible for other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence

• Minimum of two years of professional driving experience.

• 20/20 vision and no colour blindness, as required for CPIP Certification

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

• .High attention to detail and ability to remain focused on assigned tasks.

Working conditions

Frequent exposure to factors such as temperature variations or extremes, moving machinery, noise, and humidity that cause periods of extreme discomfort. Some exposure to chlorine.

Physical requirements

Physical Effort: Almost all the time is spent standing in the same position or walking. Some requirements to lift/handle material or equipment of moderate weight.

Sensory Attention: Regular need to give close attention, either hearing or seeing, to what is happening.

Mental Stress: Work and environment tend to be repetitious or unchanging. Some pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands. There could be some mildly unpleasant social contacts and/or some concern about possible unpleasant situations.
