Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk. This role is responsible for the timely and accurate processing, verification, and reconciliation of vendor invoices, payments, and statements, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal departments.
The Accounts Payable clerk will report to the Admin Manager
Full Time, Year round position
Essential Job Functions
- Process high volumes of vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency
- Match, batch, and code invoices in accordance with company policies
- Verify approvals and ensure proper supporting documentation is obtained
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all transactions
- Assist with month-end closing, including accruals and reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
- Support the finance team with additional administrative tasks as required
Required Qualifications and Abilities
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Teams
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
