Job Summary:

As Regional Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the upkeep of major mechanical equipment of the Sandman, Sandman by Signature and Sutton Place Hotels within the British Columbia Lower Mainland. You Support and Lead a team of Maintenance Associates and collaboration with / Elevator Specialist / Regional Capital Repair Teams / Hotel Regional Directors / General Managers / Maintenance Personal / Facilities Managers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the Maintenance Team.
  • As part of the Sandman and Sutton Hotel Group / Northland Properties Design & Construction Team.
  • Creates and maintains an environment of trust, support, and open information sharing, consistent with Northland Properties Purpose and Values, both within the Hotel group.
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining, and monitoring project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor a cohesive self-preforming Maintenance team.
  • Monitor applicable change management process.
  • Contribute to the ongoing continuous improvement process for ongoing or potential future projects.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Chair and facilitate meetings and associate performance reviews to all team members.
  • Negotiate best pricing practice towards all 3rd party quotations and vendors.
  • Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to relevant parties.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards in the industry.
  • Guide and facilitate Hotel environmental energy saving initiatives through the Eco-Fund Committee.
  • Support, assist and guide the direction to Hotel Maintenance.
  • Review all quotations shared by the Regional Directors prior to seeking approval for Hotel Capital Expenses.
  • Assist each property with trouble shooting recommendations and creating work scopes.
