Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) is a not-for-profit national trade association that represents and advocates for member companies in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry (HVACR). Our members include wholesalers, manufacturers, contractors, and other professionals with an interest in this industry and improving its impact on the environment. We have been around for more than 50 years and, believe it or not, are still growing! We are looking for a Systems Administrator - Business Applications & Operations to join our team. Working closely with the IT Director, you will support HRAI’s business applications, staff technology needs, cloud platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity operations, and adoption of emerging technologies across the organization. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting people, and working across both business applications and IT infrastructure. You will be an important day-to-day resource for staff while helping us continuously improve how we use technology across HRAI. This posting is for an existing vacancy. The salary range for this role is $80,000-$85,000 annually. What You Will Do Serve as the primary operational administrator and support resource for HRAI’s iMIS EMS platform, including Level 1 and Level 2 support
Support business applications and platforms used across HRAI, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Zoom, and other organizational systems
Administer Microsoft 365 and related cloud services, including Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, and Azure
Support endpoint management, device provisioning, user lifecycle management, identity administration, servers, Hyper-V virtualization, backups, disaster recovery, and systems monitoring
Provide responsive Level 1 and Level 2 technology support for computer, software, connectivity, account access, cloud platform, and business application issues
Coordinate staff onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, account creation, access provisioning, and technology orientation
Support day-to-day cybersecurity operations, including endpoint protection, MFA, conditional access, account security, system alerts, and remediation activities
Work with external application, technology, and cybersecurity partners when escalation or specialized expertise is required
Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve productivity, workflows, reporting, service delivery, and operational efficiency
Support staff adoption of new technologies through practical guidance, training, documentation, and follow-up
Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, workflows, training materials, and operational playbooks What You Bring A minimum of three years of experience supporting CRM systems, systems administration, IT operations, or a similar technology-focused role
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments, including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune, and Azure AD/Entra ID
Experience providing technology and user support within a business environment
Experience supporting both business applications and technology infrastructure
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills across applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, and user devices
Knowledge of endpoint management, identity and access administration, backup and disaster recovery, systems monitoring, and cybersecurity practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide clear, patient, and professional support to non-technical users
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a small-team environment
A proactive, service-focused approach and an interest in continuously learning and adapting to new technologies Nice to Have Experience in any of the following would be an asset, but is not required: iMIS or a similar association management/CRM platform
Cybersecurity tools such as Sophos, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, or similar platforms
Backup and disaster recovery platforms such as Veeam, Acronis, Datto, iDrive e2, or similar technologies
Scripting, automation, and remote monitoring and management tools such as NinjaOne, SuperOps, Atera, or similar platforms
Hybrid cloud and on-premise environments
