What is the Opportunity?
The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and AtkinsRealis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program, which replaces the main components of six reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders, as well as construction management and trade labour. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.
The Project Administrator will report functionally to the Construction Technical Superintendent and be responsible for the following:
What You'll Do Here:
- Perform administrative duties on site, ensuring all documentation regarding timesheets, equipment usage, and all personnel-related allowances is transferred to Accounting daily or weekly, as required.
- Learn, interpret, and apply organizational policies, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain an organized filing system.
- Perform and maintain daily documentation, filing, and typing.
- Maintain and organize document files.
- Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, and arranging couriers.
- Provide administrative support to various departments as needed, such as assisting with client meetings and creating presentations and packages.
- Assist with client meetings.
- Accurately create and submit purchase requisitions to the materials team.
- Administer office and safety supplies and stationery.
- Suggest and implement improved work methods and systems relating to administrative tasks.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office applications in an MS Windows environment.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Intermediate level of computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently, with accurate computer data input and record keeping.
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
- Team player who is flexible and able to work well with site team members.
- Able to work rotational shift work.
- Able to work in a workplace that requires the use of personal protective equipment.
- Able to multitask and work within time constraints.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deal tactfully with employees, visitors, and customers.
Reason for vacancy: Replacement
Salary range: $50,000 - $65,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
