Who We Are:

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) is a joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada Ltd. that was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rail and Systems (SSE-SRS) package. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city.

As part of this project, we are currently looking for a Verification & Validation Coordinator to join our team.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the preparation and maintenance of V&V plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Assist in coordinating verification activities across engineering disciplines.
  • Track verification and validation activities and maintain status records.
  • Support management of V&V deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain records of verification evidence, test reports, analyses, inspections, reviews, and certifications.
  • Ensure verification records are properly documented and traceable.
  • Support the organization of compliance evidence packages.
  • Monitor outstanding verification actions and follow up with responsible teams.
  • Support maintenance of verification matrices and traceability records.
  • Assist in linking requirements to verification methods and results.
  • Help identify missing verification evidence and compliance gaps.
  • Maintain up-to-date traceability information throughout project delivery.
  • Support planning and coordination of testing, inspections, demonstrations, and validation activities.
  • Assist in documenting test readiness reviews and results.
  • Participate in review meetings and track actions.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare dashboards and status reports on verification progress.
  • Support data quality reviews and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in developing efficient reporting and tracking methods.
  • Contribute to lessons learned activities.

Experience You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical training.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, testing, quality assurance, verification & validation, project coordination, or engineering support roles.
  • Understanding of systems engineering and requirements lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with verification and validation principles, including reviews, inspections, analyses, and testing activities.
  • Experience maintaining records, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Exposure to requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or similar platforms is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with requirements, traceability and verification matrices is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in transportation, rail, infrastructure, or multidisciplinary engineering projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, databases, or reporting tools is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
