Position Overview

We are seeking safety-focused Shipper/Receivers to support our maintenance operations. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing parts and materials, operating support equipment, maintaining warehouse and laydown areas, and assisting with general site logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping, Receiving & Inventory

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts, materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Prepare, package, load, and secure outgoing shipments.
  • Complete shipping and receiving documentation, including packing slips and bills of lading.
  • Issue parts and materials to maintenance personnel and deliver supplies to work areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse, storage, and laydown areas.
  • Identify damaged, missing, or incorrect materials and report discrepancies.
  • Coordinate deliveries, pickups, and returns with suppliers and site personnel.

Maintenance & Site Support

  • Stage parts, tools, and materials for planned and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Transport materials between warehouses, laydown areas, maintenance shops, and work locations.
  • Operate support equipment, including:
    • Loader
    • Skid Steer
    • Telehandler
    • Forklift, where applicable
  • Complete pre-use equipment inspections and report deficiencies.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and materials safely.
  • Drive company vehicles on designated mine-site roads.
  • Follow all site traffic, radio, and haul road procedures.
  • Perform snow removal and general site maintenance as required.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

Safety

  • Follow all company and mine-site safety, environmental, and operating procedures.
  • Participate in required orientations, toolbox meetings, inspections, and training.
  • Wear all required PPE and report hazards, incidents, and equipment concerns.
  • Work safely around heavy equipment, haul trucks, and active mine-site operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, mining, construction, maintenance, or material handling is an asset.
  • Experience operating loaders, skid steers, telehandlers, forklifts, or similar equipment.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Basic computer skills; inventory or warehouse system experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials.
  • Willingness to complete all required mine-site, equipment, driving, and safety training.
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to following site procedures.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on mine-site position requiring a combination of warehouse, yard, equipment operation, driving, and outdoor work. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and around active mining and maintenance operations.
