Description

You are a Senior Project Coordinator who provides independent project-control and delivery support across full telecom project lifecycles. You help maintain accurate project systems, schedules, cost and billing records, permit and design status, construction-readiness information, quality documentation, and turnover records. While working under limited supervision, you anticipate issues, coordinate with stakeholders, resolve routine delivery constraints, and provide clear recommendations and escalations to the Project Manager. You will also get the chance to mentor coordinators and reinforce consistent processes, accountability, and timely follow-through.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Promote Ledcor safety culture and supports implementation of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP)
  • Maintain required quality and compliance documentation, project schedules, milestone forecasts, dashboards, action logs, risk and issue registers, weekly production reporting and coordinates closure of deficiencies
  • Validate status against supporting records and highlights variances, dependencies, and upcoming decisions
  • Coordinate surveys, design submissions, permit packages, utility and municipal requirements, consents, locates, bill of materials, construction packages and confirm prerequisites are complete before work is released
  • Maintain cost trackers, billing records, forecasts, accrual support, invoice backup, and progress-claim documentation
  • Review quantities and supporting evidence, investigate discrepancies, and provide clear reconciliation
  • Coordinate FCO and change-control documentation, assesses scope, schedule, cost, and risk impacts, maintains approval status, and supports subcontract and client change discussions
  • Track field progress, material readiness, QA/QC, deficiencies, as-builts, system updates, acceptance packages, and closeout deliverables
  • Ensure handoff packages are complete, traceable, and submitted on time
  • Leads routine coordination meetings, records decisions and action owners, follows up to closure, manages project inquiries, and escalates unresolved constraints with recommended next steps
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to junior coordinators, reviews the quality of their work, shares technical knowledge, and develops practical templates, SOPs, trackers, and controls that improve consistency and efficiency

Qualifications:


  • Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, project management, business administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Approximately 5+ years of related project coordination, construction administration, or telecom delivery experience; senior-level experience supporting multiple concurrent workstreams is preferred
  • Working knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost tracking, billing, change management, document control, quality, permits, and closeout
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability and strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and project tracking systems
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, scopes of work, specifications, contracts, schedules, and commercial documentation
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills, with high attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Telecommunications and fibre-optic construction experience, including aerial and underground work, is strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage confidential information and maintain professionalism in challenging or time-sensitive situations

Work Conditions:


  • Hybrid-based work in Ontario, with travel to project, client, utility, and municipal locations as required
  • Must be able to attend field reviews and construction coordination activities when required

Compensation

$65,600.00 - $90,200.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
