Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed healthcare company rebuilding how specialty care works for people living with joint, back, and muscle (musculoskeletal) conditions. Instead of leaving patients to navigate treatment on their own, they pair predictive data with current evidence-based guidelines and a detailed read on each patient's symptoms, history, preferences, and goals, then guide that patient toward the treatment path most likely to work for them and support them through every step of it.
The company is remote-first, roughly 150 people today, and scaling quickly. The team is collaborative, curious, and mission-driven, with real appetite for people who want to build an organization rather than inherit one.
This Role:
The Director, Product will build and lead the product organization, reporting to the VP of Product. You will hire, coach, and grow product managers, define product lines and clear areas of ownership, and establish a product culture centered on solving real customer problems, delivering in increments, and iterating continuously.
The immediate focus is the clinical operations side of the business: the software care teams and clinicians use to manage patient records, support clinical decision-making, and engage patients across phone, chat, email, and other channels. You will work across several clinical personas, partner closely with design and engineering, and act as a thought partner to the VP of Product on product vision and long-term bets.
This is a growth-stage environment prototyping new solutions for patients, providers, clients, and internal clinical operations, including ML-assisted clinical decision support and emerging LLM-enabled workflows. Expect to accelerate delivery, expand product functionality, and find new ways to make care teams measurably more productive. The role carries high growth potential for the right leader.
You Will:
• Set product strategy that maps to business opportunity and growth
• Lead the team through roadmap creation, refinement, and prioritization
• Hire, coach, and grow product managers; define product lines and areas of ownership
• Guide the team to identify customer problems, ideate solutions, and partner closely with design and engineering through delivery
• Be the connective tissue across departments by earning stakeholder trust and delivering on commitments
• Own the success of your product portfolio: define and track key results, and communicate progress to stakeholders
• Help the team think big and make good decisions quickly
• Explain the clinical side of the product in plain language to technical and non-technical audiences alike
• Identify where LLM and ML capabilities can improve clinical workflows and care team productivity

Must Have Skills:
• 10+ years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping software products end to end
• 7+ years in healthcare technology with direct exposure to clinical workflows and clinical process
• 3+ years managing product teams: hiring, coaching, and setting direction for product managers
• Strong command of modern product management practice — customer discovery, incremental delivery, outcome-based roadmaps, and ruthless prioritization
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to explain clinical concepts to a non-clinical audience and technical tradeoffs to executives
• Experience in a growth-stage startup, including taking products from 0 to 1
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school

Nice to Have Skills:
• Products built for clinical operations teams, care teams, or provider-facing workflows
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and patient record workflows
• Experience shipping ML- or LLM-enabled features inside a clinical or otherwise regulated product
• Multi-channel patient engagement (phone, chat, email, SMS)
• Experience defining product lines and areas of ownership as an organization scales
• Partnering with a counterpart engineering leader to run a joint delivery org
