We are searching for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Parkland in the Valley team based in Quispamsis, New Brunswick.

About the Opportunity

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to two maintenance Workers, & two shuttle drivers supporting performance, scheduling, training, and day-to-day operations.
  • Performs general maintenance duties and scheduled preventive maintenance work on physical facilities, equipment and grounds
  • Conducts routine and follow-up inspections to determine compliance with Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations, chemical and general safety standards; submits reports and makes recommendations and/or takes appropriate action to minimize potential safety, health and environmental risks
  • Maintains current knowledge of changes in provincial, federal, OHS and other safety codes and regulations as applicable
  • Administers the operating budget for plant and building services; prepares purchase orders, verifies and approves invoices for payment
  • Accesses PM Worx program for Preventive Maintenance schedules and processes work orders through the same program
  • Participates in emergency (disaster) plan and mock disaster exercises
  • Works in conjunction with Shannex fire and safety policies to help train staff in fire safety techniques; schedules fire drills and evaluates performance effectiveness

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the building/mechanical trades
  • 1+ Years Supervisory experience;
  • Knowledge of heating, ventilating and lighting systems used in the facility
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety legislation
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit
  • 2+ years' experience working in building maintenance or construction is an asset
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Maintenance Tracking software such as Asset Planner is an asset
  • Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment is an asset
