Overview

Join a world‑class infrastructure program and help shape the future of high‑speed rail transportation in Canada. As part of the ALTO program, you will play a key role in the design and integration of innovative, high‑performance, and passenger‑centric HSR stations, working closely with multidisciplinary teams as well as public and private partners.

Your role
  • Collaborate with the Station Design Manager to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements and overall business objectives.
  • Coordinate the multidisciplinary design of HSR stations and associated facilities, from concept through IFC, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Assist in the establishment and enforcement of technical governance, including design reviews, change management, configuration management, and decision traceability.
  • Support the team in ensuring design compliance with project requirements, technical standards, Canadian codes and regulations, as well as passenger experience standards.
  • Assist in driving interface management between stations and rail systems, civil works, energy systems, municipal infrastructure, and third‑party developments.
  • Assist in collaboration with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to support permitting, approvals, accessibility requirements, and environmental processes.
  • Support the integration of operational, safety, sustainability, maintainability, and life‑cycle cost considerations into design decisions.
  • Support procurement and tender preparation, including scope definition, technical criteria, and proposal evaluations.

About you
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario is an asset.
  • Has a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience on major projects in transportation.
  • Has strong expertise in leading multidisciplinary design of stations or large‑scale transportation buildings, including architecture, structures, MEP systems, and life safety.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex, highly regulated infrastructure/transportation project environments.
  • Proven ability to manage technical interfaces, risks, costs, and schedules at the scale of a major program.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, is required; proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with executive‑level stakeholders, authorities, and external partners.
