What You'll Do:- Lead the support and continuous improvement of global core network services, including backbone, data center, shared services, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environments, to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing connectivity across the enterprise.
- Provide technical leadership in the design, implementation, and support of network solutions for both new and existing environments, with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
- Own or oversee lifecycle activities for core network hardware and software assets, including purchasing, sparing, licensing, maintenance, and refresh planning.
- Partner closely with business units, regional Information Technology (IT), Network Operations, and other infrastructure teams to prioritize demand, align delivery timelines, and ensure effective service outcomes.
- Lead and coordinate on-site and remote implementations, upgrades, migrations, and remediation activities, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Act as an escalation point for the Network Operations Center (NOC), providing advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution support for complex network and voice issues.
- Lead or contribute to proof-of-concept evaluations, technical validations, and vendor engagements to assess emerging technologies and their fit within enterprise architecture standards.
- Plan and deliver network components for large and complex projects, including remote site deployments, data center initiatives, core infrastructure upgrades, and telephony or collaboration changes.
- Ensure core network and voice services are aligned with security standards, company policies, and industry best practices, including adherence to governance, change management, and operational controls.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, regional teams, strategic vendors, and external partners to support successful delivery and long-term service reliability.
- Maintain accurate and current technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration standards, implementation records, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
- 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale enterprise network environments, with deep expertise in core network services and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) platforms.
- Advanced understanding of enterprise core network architecture, including data center networking, backbone routing, switching, WAN, security, and business-critical shared services.
- Proven experience leading the design, deployment, support, and lifecycle management of Cisco-based core infrastructure, including NX-OS, IOS XE, IOS XR, Meraki, and large-scale CUCM environments.
- Deep technical expertise in routing, switching, segmentation, resiliency, and high-availability design across complex enterprise network environments.
- Strong experience supporting shared network services and enterprise connectivity platforms, including voice, remote access, and other business-critical infrastructure components.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve highly complex network and voice issues across routing, switching, SIP, gateways, call routing, quality of service, and performance management.
- Advanced knowledge of network security principles and secure connectivity design.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, change management, architecture standards, and infrastructure lifecycle planning within large enterprise environments.
- Experience integrating core on-premises network services with cloud networking platforms and hybrid infrastructure models.
- Proven ability to lead complex implementations, upgrades, migrations, and refresh activities across multiple sites with minimal operational disruption.
- Experience managing strategic vendor relationships, maintenance agreements, software licensing, hardware sparing, and support contracts for core infrastructure platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, coordinate cross-functional implementation teams, and guide delivery across large, distributed environments.
- Strong documentation and standards discipline, including development and maintenance of network diagrams, configuration baselines, operational procedures, and support documentation.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with infrastructure, security, operations, and business teams to align network services with enterprise priorities and long-term technology strategy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, assess risk, and develop effective long-term solutions for complex infrastructure issues.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, lead under pressure, and maintain professionalism during major incidents, escalations, and time-sensitive delivery activities.
- Ability to work independently while building strong relationships across distributed teams, regional stakeholders, vendors, and strategic partners.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking in network architecture, service resiliency, lifecycle management, and operational efficiency improvement.
