Essential Responsibilities:
Operate 583, 594, 587 and JD 1050 models safely and efficiently according to lift plan and site procedures
Lift, move, align, and lower pipe sections according to project requirements
Work in tandem with other operators to safely carry sections of pipe
Maintain proper equipment positioning and stability, particularly on uneven or challenging terrain
Exercise extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety
Perform pre-use inspections and equipment walk-arounds before operating
Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
Adhere to all Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years' experience operating sidebooms
Must be able to interpret capacity chart(s) and identify the rigging requirements
Must be able to understand the capacity of each component and the relationships between the length of the boom, length of cable, cable size and load limits
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Work Conditions:
14 days on, 14 days off, working 12 hours per day
Camp accommodations provided
Charter flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary
