Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate 583, 594, 587 and JD 1050 models safely and efficiently according to lift plan and site procedures

  • Lift, move, align, and lower pipe sections according to project requirements

  • Work in tandem with other operators to safely carry sections of pipe

  • Maintain proper equipment positioning and stability, particularly on uneven or challenging terrain

  • Exercise extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety

  • Perform pre-use inspections and equipment walk-arounds before operating

  • Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns

  • Adhere to all Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience operating sidebooms

  • Must be able to interpret capacity chart(s) and identify the rigging requirements

  • Must be able to understand the capacity of each component and the relationships between the length of the boom, length of cable, cable size and load limits

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety

  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions:

  • 14 days on, 14 days off, working 12 hours per day

  • Camp accommodations provided

  • Charter flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary
