What You'll Do:- Lead and manage a department of engineers, technologists, contractors, and consultants to ensure full technical support for Operations and Maintenance activities on site
- Manage employee productivity, safety compliance, assignments, and performance quality
- Be responsible for ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and structural activities are sufficiently designed, specified, built, and integrated per applicable standards and codes.
- Support the execution of the site's Capital portfolio through resource support and direction
- Manage the site's engineering standards, drawings, and procedures
- Build, improve, and manage business processes to maximize work efficiency and quality of execution
- Actively promote and engage in continuous improvement by driving alterations or modifications to existing systems and providing technical advice for improving maintenance and operating reliability, efficiency, and cost performance
- Support coordination and supervision of service provider activities as required
- Lead the Process, Safety & Integrity Management (PSIM) program for the site's Operations including
- Key areas of primary responsibility within PSIM
- Risk management
- Standards development and execution
- Engineering knowledge management
- Management of change
- Key areas of primary responsibility within PSIM
- Relevant Engineering degree from an accredited university
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist in Saskatchewan
- 12+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience in an industrial environment
- Proven leadership, team-building, interpersonal, and communication skills (formal and informal).
- Strong technical experience in potash processing or similar industry
- Demonstrated strengths in organizational, planning, and resourcing skills
- Ability to handle a large and varied workload, prioritizing work tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong commitment to safety with knowledge of OH&S, Mine, Environmental and other jurisdictional regulations
- Demonstrated experience building and managing business and engineering management systems.
- Strong computer skills - able to expertly work in multiple software applications as required.
