What You'll Do:
  • Manage and supervise the safe operation of the refinery using a distributed control system (DCS) (Delta V) through communication and coordination with a team of field operators to obtain the required production at the required grade and recovery
  • Work collaboratively with the underground departments to make decisions to optimize site production
  • Accumulate a thorough knowledge of all equipment, operating procedures and company policies impacting the operation of the refinery
  • Assist the Mill Shift Supervisor for training mobile equipment operators and weighmasters for their loading crews
  • Assume the duties of the Loadout Utility Supervisor in his or her absence
  • Assume the duties of the Mill Shift Supervisor in his or her absence
What You'll Bring:
  • Grade 12 Diploma or GED Equivalency, additional post-secondary education would be considered an asset
  • Effective interpersonal and team building skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability motivate and keep employees engaged
  • Working knowledge of operational and maintenance aspects of a conventional potash mill and loadout area
  • Supervisory experience would be considered an asset
