about this team

The Global Procurement team are trusted business advisors who strategically partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to create value and mitigate risk in strategic non-product purchases for the global organization. The team supports the business in increasing its profitability and return on investment by creating value in our indirect supply chain through strategic & stakeholder-centric procurement. From providing category expertise, market insights, cost savings opportunities, supplier performance and relationship management & developing short and long-term strategies, the Global Procurement team plays a key role in value delivery for our business.

about this role

The Director, Facilities & Store Development Procurement supports stakeholders across key corporate, retail and design business areas in meeting their business goals and objectives. In partnership with business stakeholders, they are responsible for the development, implementation, management, and performance of sourcing strategies. The Director, Facilities & Store Development Procurement is also responsible for the development, presentation and implementation of innovative sourcing levers to drive value delivery.

core responsibilities

  • Lead Category Strategy development & implementation through a collaborative, inclusive approach that aligns to business and enterprise priorities
    • Root category strategy development and implementation with proven expertise and knowledge of retail store fixture programs, global manufacturing trends, and sound experience partnering with key global players in retail store design and construction
    • With a strong understanding of the evolution of the AP and Integrated Facilities Management markets, support stakeholders through thoughtful strategic procurement
  • Lead and develop team members in alignment to lululemon's core values
  • Lead annual productivity improvements in each category of spend by developing and ensuring implementation of ideas to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) for spend categories
  • Bring sourcing efficiency to all activity; define specific roadmaps containing prioritization of sourcing categories and events
  • Build strategic partnerships with internal business leaders across Global and regional design, store development, to execute sourcing initiatives that meet functional priorities and elevate Global Procurement's impact.
  • Drive and execute an equitable and inclusive procurement process

qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor
  • Preferred: MBA, SCMP or equivalent professional designation
  • 10+ years Procurement experience
  • 5+ years Facilities and Asset Protection Procurement experience
  • 7+ years store design & development, or construction Procurement experience
  • Excellent PC Skills (MS Office), knowledge of P2P (Coupa)/Oracle a plus
  • Core capabilities:
    • Stakeholder management & influence: Builds essential trust with the stakeholder base. Can handle complex multi-stakeholder issues that involve a number of areas. Sets expectations and tone for organization's stakeholder engagement strategy and operations.
    • Category Management: Applies extensive experience with business, technical, legal/regulatory, geographic and commercial facets of the industry as well as supply/demand knowledge. Familiar with industry cost modeling, market trends and relevancy. Influences companywide understanding of supply dependency for organization success. Promotes benchmarking activities to assure best practice application.
    • Sourcing: Through constructive challenge of teams, high levels of creativity create significant opportunities for financial and/or competitive advantage in sourcing strategies. Ensures great rigor is applied in using the process to generate improvement in sourcing. Assesses and evaluates portfolio of strategies to ensure appropriate balance in the tactical to breakthrough continuum. Validates "line of sight" and fits to meet business objectives
    • Negotiation: Creates an environment where negotiations are supported and encouraged such that the organization understands that even if a bidding process is started, a purchase does not have to be made. Ensures that all negotiations are conducted using the highest ethical standards. Is recognized as an expert negotiator
    • Project Management: Manages complex projects, producing multiple project deliverables simultaneously. Uses advanced techniques to manage projects, including control and reporting strategies to monitor changes.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $171,200 - $224,700 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
