A career as a Manager, Onboarding in the National Bank Trust team means acting as a senior integration lead for complex client and portfolio manager lifecycle events. In this role, you are responsible for overseeing end-to-end onboarding, transition and offboarding activities while delivering a seamless and high-quality client experience. You serve as a trusted advisor to clients, portfolio managers, internal partners and operational teams, leading complex integration mandates and coordinating stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. Leveraging your expertise in client onboarding, securities custody, stakeholder management and operational governance, you provide functional leadership, influence key decisions, identify and mitigate risks, and help strengthen and evolve integration practices across the organization.
Your Role
•Lead end-to-end onboarding, transition and offboarding activities for a diverse client base, including institutional clients, portfolio managers, pension plans, asset managers, ETF issuers and securities custody clients.
•Provide functional leadership within the team by guiding priorities, influencing decisions and helping colleagues navigate complex integration scenarios.
•Coach, train and support colleagues and subject-matter experts by sharing knowledge, reinforcing best practices and helping build team capability.
•Coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders across business lines, operations and support functions to ensure a seamless, efficient and well-controlled client experience.
•Advise clients, portfolio managers and internal partners on integration practices, securities custody requirements, operational considerations and transition strategies.
•Manage communications throughout the integration lifecycle by aligning stakeholders on objectives, timelines, risks, dependencies and key deliverables.
•Identify operational risks, critical paths and process improvement opportunities, contribute to the evolution of integration practices by strengthening governance, optimizing processes, documenting key decisions and sharing best practices across the team.

Within the National Bank Trust sector, you will be part of a large team of approximately 150 colleagues and report to the Director, Client and Portfolio Manager Integration. Prerequisites
• Hold a university degree and 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in client onboarding, client integration, securities servicing, custody operations, trust services, asset management or a related field.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of securities custody, operational service models, transition activities and client onboarding practices.
• Possess experience leading complex mandates involving multiple stakeholders, governance requirements, operational dependencies and competing priorities.
• Have strong advisory expertise and the ability to support clients, portfolio managers and business partners throughout critical lifecycle events.
• Be proficient with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Have experience working in a regulated financial services environment; direct experience with transition events, settlement activities or institutional clients is considered an asset.
