Senior Project Engineer (Bridges)

Your role

• Act as Engineer of Record (EoR) for assigned bridge projects, providing technical oversight and professional accountability for engineering deliverables.

• Manage and coordinate engineering projects throughout all phases (design, procurement, construction, and commissioning)

• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, procurement, operations, and external stakeholders)

• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks

• Be regularly present on construction sites to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and coordinate on‑site activities.

• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and technical specifications

• Support problem‑solving and technical decision‑making during project execution

• Communicate project updates to stakeholders and senior management

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering (preferably with a Structural major). Registered as Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with APEGA.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation with 5 years in project management.

• 8+ years of experience in engineering practice in analysis and design of various types of bridge and transportation structures; railway structures is an asset.

• Demonstrated experience working in a multi‑disciplinary team delivering projects with variety of complexity, type of bridge, size and scope.

• Experience with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC) and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance‑of‑Way Association (AREMA) Code.

• Proficient in SAP 2000, CSI Bridge, MIDAS and Microsoft Office applications.
