What You'll Do:
  • Provide underground survey support
  • Perform Geological Mapping and use CAD software to display geological and geotechnical information
  • Ground control and geotechnical instrumentation – installation, data gathering and interpretation
  • Complete ground support design and Quality Control inspections and testing
  • Perform mine Ventilation measurements and conditions monitoring
  • Create mining layouts in CAD software
  • Provide Technical support for Mine Operations and Mine Planning Teams
What You'll Bring:
  • B.Sc. degree in Mining or Geological Engineering
  • Registered or eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geologists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
  • Capable and willing to go underground to understand mine operation and ground conditions
  • Experience in an underground mining environment (specific potash experience would be an asset)
  • Commitment to safety
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as work independently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Saskatchewan potash mining methods and geology
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using CAD software (MicroStation, Deswik)
