Your role

Lab Floor:

• Work to support all active project groups.
• React to daily issues: re – crane, lift truck, elevator, etc.
• Direct various groups to coordinate lab schedules with outside solution providers (OHS, PROFAC, etc…).
• Housekeeping.
• Direct Network cleaners.
• Provide information, advice and coordination of Work Permit.
• Assist with JSA development for NF functions.
• Coordinate with other contractors (ie: Building Maintenance, Roofing).
• Hazardous Waste organizing and storing.
• Contractor Sponsor.
• Support project groups as lift truck or crane operator.
• Removal of obsolete or unnecessary equipment or test systems as they are identified.

Support Annual Inspections:

• Crane inspection & maintenance.
• Fume hood inspections & maintenance.
• Lift truck inspection & maintenance.
• Fall Arrest equipment inspection & maintenance.
• Pallet truck inspection & maintenance.
• All below the hook lifting equipment inspection & maintenance.

Safety:

• Attend monthly safety meetings.
• Work with OHS on all safety activities.

About you

• Diploma from a College of recognized standing or equivalent technical education/experience.

• Familiar operating forklifts, cranes etc

• 1‑2 years trade experience including mechanical/electrical technician, HVAC

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with external contractors
