Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for preparing and mixing syrups for production as required with an emphasis on Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Other responsibilities include testing syrups, product and water to ensure specifications are met, receiving inventory of concentrate and sweetener. The Syrup Maker is also responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment along with filling equipment, carbo-coolers, tanks and piping. Maintaining the water treatment system, including back washing sand/gravel filters, ion regeneration, carbon steaming and monitor water quality.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to read and write English (due to safety requirements)
  • Responsible for cost exposure exceeding $1,000
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Minimum 1 year experience with water treatment systems
  • Flexible to work shift schedules (days, evenings, afternoons, weekends)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to make operational adjustments as needed
  • Team player with initiative, reliability, and flexibility
  • Must complete and pass required assessments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Major Physical Demands:

  • Frequently lift/carry up to 80 lbs
  • Occasionally push/pull/lift up to 400 lbs (with mechanical assistance)
  • Frequent bending and reaching above shoulder level
