Responsibilities
  • Leverage our CMMS System (SAP) to plan and schedule the work for all maintenance technicians
  • Lead the Weekly Maintenance Planning meeting. Plan and Schedule the work with support of the Maintenance Supervisor / Operations Managers
  • Ensure team is following proper control and compliance protocols that relate to the maintenance planners work.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance technicians to understand the jobs (planning) and schedule the work accordingly once everything required is available (staffing, parts, line downtime, etc…)
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs (Work Request) and schedule the work accordingly.
  • Work with Parts coordinator to secure necessary parts and schedule the work upon arrival.
  • Work with parts coordinator to create Min/Max and reordering levels for parts in CMMS, based on historical use and lead times
  • Works with maintenance team to order and kit parts for Downday maintenance and annual overhaul of the lines
  • Scorecard Maintenance Performance related to planning and provide feedback to both technicians and management as required
  • Work with technicians to optimize our PM Programs (Review frequency, hours required, etc..)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Lead some of the Safety Elements for the facility
  • Other tasks as directed by the supervisor
Qualifications
  • Strong technical / Mechanical background to be able to work with maintenance technicians and vendors to order necessary parts
  • Good computer skills and knowledge
  • Previous experience with Infor, SAP, MS Office, MS Excel will be an asset but not a requirement
  • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy (ability to work under minimal supervision)
  • Great organization skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to follow written procedures for existing processes and equipment
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and high level of dedication
  • Have a positive attitude and attention to details
  • Ability to write, understand and speak English fluently
  • Able to demonstrate an aptitude in writing and mathematics to complete paperwork accurately and legibly
