Job Description
What will you do?
- Lead and manage physical security operations programs across the region, including vendor management, performance monitoring, and quality assurance.
- Responsible for the oversight and leadership of day-to-day security operations of select major properties.
- Oversee supplier contracts from operational and relationship management perspectives, including SLA monitoring, KPI review, and business reviews.
- Monitor and oversee physical security controls, systems, and processes to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Establish and elevate security culture through awareness campaigns, training, and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Lines of Business, Investigative teams, Facilities) to integrate security practices and address emerging threats.
- Support incident response and threat monitoring; maintain 24/7 on-call readiness for security incidents.
- Manage metrics and reporting to demonstrate program effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct reviews and provide guidance on security issues and operational improvements.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 5+ years of proven experience in physical security operations, guard management, or related fields (law enforcement, military, corporate security).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage guard programs and oversee security vendor contracts, including SLA negotiation and performance management.
- Strong understanding of security technologies, operational processes, and compliance frameworks within financial or regulated industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work across various lines of business.
- Solid understanding of risk mitigation strategies and ability to implement practical, sustainable solutions.
- Strong and proven ability to manage complex operations, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to recognize actual or potential security breaches and respond to incidents with sound judgment.
- Strong ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment while maintaining 24/7 on-call readiness for incident response.
Nice-to-have
- Post Secondary education from a recognized college or university, preferably in the areas of International Relations, Security / Strategic / Intelligence Studies, Political Science
- CPP 'Certified Protection Professional' designation from ASIS International
