This innovative facility integrates data and technology into patient assessment, care delivery, and communication, while providing specialized, person-centred support for individuals who no longer require hospital-level treatment but need additional care to safely return home or transition back into their community. Reporting to the Building and Services Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator oversees maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and grounds while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Occupational Health and Safety standards. This role coordinates preventative maintenance programs, manages maintenance projects and budgets, conducts safety inspections, and supports emergency preparedness and fire safety initiatives. The Maintenance Coordinator also promotes a strong culture of workplace safety and ensures a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment.

About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

  • Journeyman Trade Certificate in one of the Buildings Trades or equivalent experience in building maintenance or construction.
  • Minimum 2-years' experience working in building maintenance or construction
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Maintenance Tracking software such as Asset Planner
  • Ability to provide a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check upon hire
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety legislation
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the building/mechanical trades
  • Knowledge of heating, ventilating and lighting systems used in the facility
  • Ability to use hand and power tools (e.g. electric drills, saws, measuring and cutting devices)
