What is the opportunity?

Lead a dynamic team driving growth in one of Canada's most competitive investment markets. The Director, Client Acquisition Strategy will be accountable for forming and delivering against our net-client and net-asset acquisition plans (including both gross acquisition and retention volumes).

You will partner with marketing, sales, product, and analytics teams to build data-driven acquisition programs, optimize customer acquisition costs, maximize lifetime value across all channels and segments, and drive impact through initiatives and campaigns.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape acquisition strategy for RBC Direct Investing, optimize acquisition volumes and costs across channels, and own P&L outcomes.

What will you do?

  • Craft and execute client acquisition strategies with full accountability for targets and P&L outcomes

  • Build compelling go-to-market programs and lifecycle strategies designed to achieve client acquisition targets and drive measurable revenue growth

  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting for all net-acquisition activities

  • Optimize the CAC-to-LTV equation across every channel, segment, and offer

  • Lead teams through the delivery of high-impact initiatives that accelerate growth and reduce attrition

  • Conduct strategic deep-dives that answer critical business questions and size transformational opportunities

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in client acquisition, growth strategy or investment products, with demonstrated P&L ownership and accountability for outcomes

  • Deep financial acumen, including comfort building business cases, modeling campaign impact, and optimizing unit economics

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and secure buy-in across the organization

  • Proven strategic problem solving skills, including the ability to break down ambiguous, complex problems and translate analysis into action

  • Proven ability to partner with a diverse group of stakeholders to draw out diverse views & secure alignment

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance or a related quantitative field

  • CFA and/or experience in the investments industry is an asset

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$110,000 -160,000
