Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard

Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises to ensure a safe and secure environmentPerform patient watch duties, maintaining constant observation and ensuring safetyDemonstrate empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and visitorsMonitor and respond to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, substance use, or distressIdentify and de-escalate potentially aggressive or high-risk situations using approved techniquesControl access to restricted areas and verify identities when requiredRespond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergency codes within the hospitalComplete accurate and detailed incident reportsWork collaboratively with hospital staff and emergency responders when required

Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard

• • Authorized to work in Canada
  Hold a valid security guard license
First Aid and CPR certification required (WSIB approved) Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods Minimum 1 year of experience working with vulnerable populations in a tactical or healthcare security setting Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm and professional in high‑stress situations Ability to work full-time overnights on Friday, Saturday & Sunday
