Security Guard - Full Time

Position Overview: 

We are looking for an exceptional Security Guard to join our team at our client in Waterloo, ON. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment and requires full time availability.

This position is for a full-time permanent vacancy. 

 Position: Security Guard

Locations: Waterloo, ON

Payrate: $18.54/hr

Shift timings: Thursday 1600-2400, Friday 1600-2330, Saturday 0900-2100, Sunday 0900-1900 for a total of 37.5 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Performing access control provision duties, verifying visitors, working in a reception.

• Foot patrols inside the office space and outside.

• Escorting medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required. 

• Responding to medical emergencies and being prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed. 

• Following security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur. 

• Assisting client employees with inquiries.

• Following proper chain of command and procedures for all matters which require escalation. 

• Performing other duties as directed by the Site Security Supervisor. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License 

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification. Red Cross certification is preferred.

• Strong understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and deliver outstanding customer service 

• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional setting
