About our Vancouver Office

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, between the Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountains, Teck’s Corporate Office sits in one of Canada’s most culturally diverse cities.

Surrounded by world-renowned nature and globally inspired cuisine, the office brings together many of Teck’s corporate functions - all working toward Teck’s purpose of providing the essential resources the world relies on.

Role Overview

Becoming a more efficient, effective, and performance-focused organization is one of Teck’s corporate priorities. Central to this is the ERP Program, which is implementing a unified SAP platform as Teck’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. The program is supported by the Data Governance, Organizational Readiness and Teck Digital Systems (TDS) teams, whose work is critical to its success. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Manager to lead Training across this global program.

Reporting to the Program Manager, Organizational Readiness, the Lead, Training will lead the development of training standards, strategies and comprehensive training programs to ensure employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed with the new SAP platform and business processes.

This role will serve as the representative for the Training workstream of the ERP Program. The role will collaborate closely with the Systems Integrator and multi-functional teams, including ERP and Organizational Change Management. It will build and implement standardized training solutions to support smooth technology deployment and a balanced transition to new ways of working.

The successful candidate will be an effective collaborator, someone that possesses the ability to quickly adapt within a dynamic and evolving environment, and to communicate and engage across a diverse range of disciplines.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a diverse and dedicated team and be part of this transformative journey crafting the future of our organization.

  • Partner with the Organizational Readiness, Change Management, Systems Integrator, functional teams, business leaders, and authorities to translate business and process requirements into effective training solutions.
  • Lead the build, development, and quality assurance of training materials and educational resources. Use blended learning approaches and modern learning methods. Ensure content fits regional, functional, and role-specific needs.

  • Ensure training materials and environments are ready for delivery, including coordination with functional teams and the Systems Integrator to validate system configurations, training scenarios, and end-to-end business processes.
  • Establish and implement a training sustainment model that enables ongoing ownership, maintenance, accessibility, and continuous improvement of training content and learning resources following implementation.
  • Integrate SAP training with Teck’s broader knowledge management and learning strategy to support long-term accessibility, usability, and relevance.
  • Define, monitor, and report training performance and effectiveness, including participation, completion, learner readiness, and other agreed measures; identify gaps and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Provide regular training status, risks, issues, and recommendations to program leadership and governance forums, including escalation of matters requiring leadership intervention.
  • Lead and develop the Training team, including responsibility for resourcing, contractor management, budget, schedule, quality, performance, and delivery.
  • Drive resolution of training-related issues and dependencies and provide hands-on leadership where necessary to assist key program achievements and learning readiness.
