The Opportunity

Shape Something Different — You're not just looking for another job – you want to shape something. This is your chance to make an impact as a Project Finance Support with a team that thrives on curiosity, connection, and collaboration.

Based in British Columbia, you'll support WSP's national Remediation Program Management team as it serves major clients across Canada. Working alongside project managers, project accountants, finance partners, and management, you'll help strengthen financial controls from project inception through closure, provide clear insight into project performance, and support the profitable delivery of high-quality assessment and remediation work.

Your Impact

• Collaborate with project managers, project accountants, and finance teams to track costs and strengthen financial control across the project lifecycle.

• Monitor deliverables, tasks, schedules, and overall progress using earned value principles to provide a clear view of project performance.

• Identify variances from project plans and support timely corrective actions that protect budgets, schedules, and client commitments.

• Produce project status reports that communicate key financial metrics, progress, risks, and emerging priorities to stakeholders.

• Deliver cost analysis and forecasts through completion using estimate-to-complete and estimate-at-completion principles.

• Strengthen project governance by supporting project setup, closure, quality assurance, and consistent follow-up on change requests.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• A post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or another relevant field of study.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project controls or project management, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.

• Proficiency with project finance software such as Oracle, or comparable tools used to monitor costs and project performance.

• Applied knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, forecasting, earned value, estimate-to-complete, and estimate-at-completion principles.

• Ability to organize financial and schedule information into accurate reports that support effective decisions by project teams and stakeholders.

Compensation

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $50,500 - $66,800

• MB & ON: $46,000 - $63,400

• NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $45,600 - $60,500
