Key Responsibilities
- Adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and established procedures.
- Inspect maintenance work performed by aircraft mechanics.
- Ensure that structural and mechanical systems of aircraft meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety.
- Conduct repairs and overhauls to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot aircraft hydraulic, mechanical, and structural systems.
- Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
- Install or modify aircraft engines and mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain detailed repair, inspection, and certification records and reports.
- Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines, or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul, and cleaning, and reassemble.
- Inspect the work of aircraft mechanics performing modifications to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
- Perform and document routine maintenance.
- Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
Qualifications
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in aircraft maintenance.
- Licenses: AME «M» Licence - Aircraft and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (AME) - E.
- Aircraft Experience: Small turbine helicopter.
- Mechanical Maintenance and Repair Specialization: Aircraft maintenance - general and turbine engines.
- Transportation/Travel: Valid driver's licence required.
